We love the simplicity of a subject on a clean white background – but it’s also practical.

We capture our school photos on a white background for a few reasons:

• More variety: White seamless lets us capture full-body and expressive poses. Green screen limits us to waist-up portraits.

• Better quality: Green screen requires additional AI processing and often leaves a haze or halo around hair. Our white background gives sharp, natural results that keeps the focus on the subject, straight from the camera.

• Keeps prices fair: Processing thousands of green screen images to enable a few background swaps raises our pricing for everyone.

• Consistency: A single setup means more focus on genuine smiles, not swapping digital backdrops.

For families that would like to further customize their images, we suggest our Digital Download products. Phone apps like and programs like Adobe Express make it easier than ever to change backgrounds, fix blemishes, smooth skin and add text. Edited digital files can be sent to any lab (local or online) for unlimited printing and creative options.
